Ms. Catina Gubert (75 years old), Fr. Aldo Marchiol (65), and Fr. Ottorino Maule (54) were killed in the mission house with one gunshot in the head each. The three missionaries who had worked many years in Burundi, were ordered to kneel down and then were executed. These missionaries received threats many times by the government army, for speaking on behalf of local people, and for the way army officers reported the killings in Burundi.
