On Sept. 7, friends
and volunteers of the Xaverian Missionaries in Franklin, came
together for an outdoor mass at the Shrine of St. Francis Xavier.
It was a beautiful afternoon of sharing stories and thanking God for the
opportunity we had to serve the mission of the Church in varied
ways. Some worked at the Festival in June, others offered their
mornings for preparing the mailings, still others showed their
volunteering skills in beautifying the grounds, keeping up with flowers,
doing some maintenance around the house, and even raking leaves.
You never know how the many volunteers show their support throughout the
year, but they are always there when we need help.
To them, a deep sense of
appreciation and gratitude for donating their time and talents to make
of Xavier Knoll a welcoming place for peoples of all ages. The
following pics, from Pat Casper's camera, focus on the outdoor
Eucharist... but there was time for rejoicing, singing, dancing, and
good food, too.
