It's Mission Appeals Season

Fr. Carl Chudy, new Provincial Superior of the XaveriansDuring the summer, Xaverians in the USA experience “church life in the outskirts”, with lots of miles on the road, in parishes never visited before. It’s the Mission Appeal season
You might meet Fr. Joe Matteucig, Superior of Holliston, sharing his experience in Taiwan, or Fr. Tony Lalli on his beloved Brazil, or Fr. Alfredo Turco sharing stories about his brother in Congo, or Fr. Dominic, at Xavier Knoll, sharing his experience in Bangladesh.

Fr. Carl Chudy, our Provincial, is not excused from it, with his 13 years of Philippines he plans to give a hand to Fr. Frank in the New Jersey Area.  And Frs. Lino and Pascal take care of the mission appeals of St. Louis MO and Ohio.  We thank you for welcoming us in your parishes, as you would welcome ... a missionary.

Being Catholic in a World of Many Faiths

Being Catholic in a World of Many Faiths - Xaverian Mission NewsletterDiverse peoples of different faiths coming together to share common faith values, and a commitment to create a more just world is both the theme of this issue of the Xaverian Mission Newsletter, and an important commitment of the mission of the Catholic Church.
It is a core hope which defines our identity as Xaverian Missionaries, called to those who do not believe as we do. We proclaim the Cross of Christ in a time when worldwide religious plurality is at its zenith, and intolerance to religious pluralism is at its deadliest levels.
